Harriet Forman Barrett is a multi-disciplined artist whose works of art encompass oil paintings, jewelry design, and sculptures in bronze. Attending the High School of Music and Art in NYC and receiving a BFA in Painting and Sculpture from Pratt University, her life work of 52 years has always been about spirituality and the feminine as well as the metamorphosis of a person. “I’ve always worked to provoke conscious thought of our struggles and dualities we endure,” she states. “Each of the artworks, be it jewelry, sculpture, oil paintings, or oil pastels, represents all of the elements encompassing our life struggles and the power within.”  Ms. Barrett’s exhibit at the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center, SOULFUL Renditions (in turbulent times), includes poems about her paintings by Maura McMahon O’Meara.
