Poughkeepsie Read: Buddy can you spare a dime?

Poughkeepsie Read – broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. Funded by local businesses,this year the book is John Steinbeck’s “The Grapes of Wrath”.  Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center in collaboration with Dutchess County Libraries presents   “Brother Can You Spare A Dime”, music of the Roosevelt era performed by the Hudson Valley Folk Guild.  The concert will honor the topical songwriters who preserved history through their creative art, the people who struggled to make America a better land, and the President who led them all.

Free admission and parking.  Refreshments follow the concert.  Donations welcome to support Cunnen-Hackett Arts Center and bring canned goods to support the Hudson Valley Food Pantry.

The Performers are Lee Hunter, Pat Lamanna, Frank Tetler, Kevin & Carol Becker with Rich Keyes.
