Art Opening Receptions: Friday, January 9, 2026 / 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Kelly Stohr – Victorian Gallery @ 9 Vassar Street
Kelly Stohr is a visual artist residing in the Hudson Valley whose practice relies on the methods of intuitive wandering, spontaneous conversation, and chance encounters. The result is a fateful chain of events that leads her from one subject to the next. “I use cameras to navigate our distracted, psychically lonely 21st century existence as a young woman in this present moment,” Kelly explains. “Through images and textures that feel both universal and oddly specific, I hope to bring a shimmer of the collective unconscious to the surface and encourage us to look a little closer at what’s already there.” She will be presenting her solo exhibition, Shadow Map. In addition to being an accomplished photographer who has showcased her work in group and solo exhibitions, Kelly is also the writer of the blog The Junk Drawer that functions as a curated collection of found images and scattered thoughts.
