Past, Present, Future
its abstract idea, its concrete necessity in current times.
Basha Ruth Nelson creates art as an integral way to make visible her feelings about freedom and to find those feelings in others. Nelson presents this exhibit in search and discovery of thoughts, feelings, and emotions both personal and social.
She separates the materials in her work from their common uses, thrusting them into new relationships, new concepts; making rules and breaking them.
Nelson invites visitors to be active participants within her art installation by expressing her own experiences, their ideas and dreams of freedo. By inviting people to be creators with her, she breaches the wall between artist and viewer.
She opens the dialogue around the past, present and future of freedom.
What happened? What did we learn? What do we do?
We say, “never again” … instead let’s say “never again” and…this is what I can do.
One person at a time,
One action at a time
Creation a better world.
Creating our Freedom Story.
