Art Opening Reception: Friday, September 10 / 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm @ 12 Vassar Street

Donna Faranda is a painter and printmaker whose work has been exhibited throughout the NY metropolitan area as well as nationally and internationally. Through her artwork she “seeks to open the doors and allow the viewer to enter into a deeper level where wisdom and metaphor can reveal a vast new world beyond the surface.”  Seeking not only to render the interaction of colors as she creates images, Ms. Faranda explores elements of the female psyche and incorporates images of classic women with objects of nature. “Working with an unlimited palette, my pointillist pieces come to life helping me to construct a drama consisting of reflections of women’s inner stories and I try to illustrate through my paintings their innate nobleness, revealing the instinctive nature that resides within them.”
