The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center, a 501 (c)3 non-profit arts organization presents its 10th Annual Magnolia Party fund-raiser celebrating Matthew Vassar’s legendary tribute to Abraham Lincoln during his Funeral procession by train through Poughkeepsie, when he placed a flowering magnolia branch on the late President’s coffin. That old tree at 9 Vassar Street still blossoms today and every Spring the Art Center raises funds to maintain the two historic Victorian buildings as venues for visual and performing artists with music, a silent auction and fabulous food and drink.
